Summer Scenes

Poppies are very special around our place because they remind us of Gramma Arndt.  She loved the cheerful colors and carefully preserved even the most inferior plant in hopes of it bringing forth many blooms for everyone to enjoy.  Thank you Gramma, for teaching us to enjoy the beauty of God's creation, especially in the garden.

Look what we are finding in the berry patch!  The raspberries are coming on very nicely with all our rain and sunshine.........and can you see what else is hidden away in the lush green leaves......baby birds in a cozy nest.
 A real farm kid!
 Time for bare feet.

Baking cookies, lickin' the beater and then taking some to Mommy and Daddy.

A Busy Day!

Running the cash register isn't as easy as you might think!
Answering phones, keeping the radio tuned in and making the right change....wew!
And then there is modeling the latest eye~wear for the picky shoppers....
But now and then you get a handsome customer that makes you smile =)
It's worth it all at the end of the day when you can lean back and relax with your cell phone!

Welcome Grandson!

Isaiah Tyler weighed in at 9 lbs. 4 oz.! He is precious! We are so thankful to God for His blessing upon their family and ours too. Now we have two grandchildren to love.

Some Sweet Pictures

Anna's Visit

It was great to have Anna home for a short visit over Easter weekend. We enjoyed a trip to the woods, a steak dinner, visits with friends and family, a hike up Buttercup Hill to watch the sun rise on Easter morning, and, if she would have been here just 2 more hours she would have met her new nephew!

Spring IS Just Around the Next Corner!

.........that is after it gets done snowing!

A Weekend In Victoria, BC

We had the opportunity to visit Victoria once again and it is beautiful even when it's raining. The pink blossoms of early spring where lovely against the gray skies. We took to the warmth of the quaint shops and enjoyed a great museum as well. Needless to say, we enjoyed lots of good food and warm fellowship.

Happy Birthday Ashley!

Every Girl needs a rug made by their mom, right? I am getting brave with colors!

A Day In the Woods

This is where all of our guys spend much of their waking hours....in the great outdoors.... rain, shine or snow..... falling trees, skidding them to a landing, processing and loading them onto trucks to be taken to a mill.

"The Girls"

Do you notice the beautiful black cows in the picture? They belong to a good friend and we all call them "The Girls"...a phrase coined by our neighbor. They are each taking a turn at birthing their first baby calf and they are turning into good mamma's. We now see five stout black calves scampering in the green fields across the way. It is a good reminder that spring is on its way. Soon we should see daffodils and tulips dotting the the landscape as well. I am ready for warmer sunny days and I am sure you are too! (And of course you will notice the cute little grandgirlie in the picture too!)

Happy 16th Donny

Marshall made French toast to start the day.

We ended the day with peach cobbler after stuffing ourselves with the infamous Bo-Macks Bar-B-Q Fixin's
